About The Job

This position sources, compiles and interprets key IT operational and statistical data, analyzes metrics performance, and generates a variety of value-added Business Intelligence (BI) reports for the business and senior-level executives, including key performance indicators and critical success factors for both services and processes. This role requires a deep understanding of data structures and a strong working knowledge of BI tools, databases and SQL.

Specifically, you’ll do the following:

  • Ensures the timely and accurate generation of all ITS reporting, ensuring consistency and standardization amongst the various types of reports and databases

  • Leads reporting requirements gathering sessions with customers. Works with departmental Analytics and Reporting team SMEs to understand Business Requirements, data structures, definitions and various data sources

  • Analyzes, interprets and reports performance trends from various channels and departments, identifying areas performing outside of expected results

  • Responsible for data mining for enterprise decision support, as well to provide data support for organization's improvement initiatives

  • Leads efforts to review and recommend improvements and subsequent development of reporting enhancements, including the creation of new reporting templates and analytical reports

  • Maintains a reporting schedule and documentation of reporting procedures. Generates and maintains control documentation of reporting procedures to comply with governance audits and regulatory requirements

  • Provides mentoring and guidance to less experienced analysts on topics such as documentation, analysis, job responsibilities, organizational expectations, process execution, and industry best practices

  • Perform ad hoc duties in accordance to business needs

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training

  • 3 years of relevant comprehensive data analysis and design experience as a part of an Incident and/or Problem team

  • 3 years of experience and expertise in Tableau driven dashboard/analytics design, development and implementation

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant comprehensive data analysis and design experience as a part of an Incident and/or Problem team

  • Business Intelligence development certifications. DBA / Report Developer / Data Scientist qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Tableau administration/architecture (preferred)

  • Working knowledge of BA/data warehouse functionality (preferred)

  • Knowledge of BA project/program management (preferred)

  • ITIL v3/2011 Foundation certification is preferred, with preference for advanced Intermediate certification in ITIL's Service Operations or Operational Support and Analysis certification

  • Experience in architecting, designing, developing BI and other analytical, reporting solutions using standard BI tools

  • Experience in creation of functional specifications and project documentation and translating functional requirements into detailed technical requirements

  • Expertise in developing, maintaining and experience in managing/leading Tableau driven dashboards & analytics, preferably with working knowledge of Tableau

  • Experience with MS SQL Server, Tableau, Business Objects, Microsoft Reporting Services strongly preferred

  • Extensive background in measurements of IT, services, deliverables and inputs

  • Experience working with Agile project management methodologies and tools

  • Experience in DevOps Toolchain technologies

  • Demonstrated initiative, flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments

  • Ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practices

  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with team members, customers, and external groups, as well as working in a collaborative environment with geographically dispersed resources

  • Strong knowledge of ITIL processes

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, etc.)

  • Ability to explain technical concepts and adjust messaging based on the audience, including non-technical groups

  • Ability to influence through outstanding interpersonal skills, collaboration, and negotiation skills

  • Ability to work well within a team environment, as well as independently
